2010 TOURNAMENT GUIDELINES
1. Players are responsible for signing, dating and placing their "full name" on the official score card being submitted for all events. All score cards shall be legible. Failure to comply with these any other rules noted below will result in your (and if appropriate, your partner's / team's) disqualification. For 18 Hole Events, your signature and that of a member in your group are required. Any other event requires the witness signatures of all members in your group.
2. The deadline for event sign ups is the end of the Tuesday before the event. If you call after the deadline the Pro Shop has been instructed to forward your request to play to the
Tournament Chairperson by email or phone. The Committee will create an "alternates" list from which players may be entered into the event in the order that their names were received. We must enforce this policy since we are committed to posting assigned tee times on the Web Site two days prior to the event. The Tournament schedule has been made available well in advance. In addition, individual events will be posted in the Pro Shop and on the Web Site two weeks prior to the event. Please plan accordingly!
3. All tournament and event scores shall be posted on GHIN on the day of the round. While
remote posting from another computer is permitted, it is desirable to post the scores on the
Men's Club computer in the Pro Shop immediately after the round (while it is still fresh in your
mind). If you make a mistake, you should bring it to the attention of the Tournament Committee by the end of the day. Please remember to post a “T” for all tournaments noted as such.
4. Playing Conditions will be posted each morning on the Hunter Starter's Shack. Each player is responsible to confirm the playing conditions each day prior to play. Players should not “assume” any condition. If you are unsure of the posted playing conditions, you shall play in accordance with USGA rules.
5. Special Tournament Rules and Guidelines, if required, will be posted in the Pro Shop and at the Starter Shack prior to each event. It is the player’s responsibility to understand these rules and conditions prior to the event. Players should not “assume” a rule or guideline based on past events. As always when in doubt, USGA rules apply.
6. The completion of the Irrigation System is expected by July. Until then and probably for a while after, we can expect abnormal conditions along the course. The Rules Committee will be periodically reviewing these conditions. Any special rules will be published at the Pro Shop and on this website, as dictated by conditions.
7. The new irrigation system includes lightning detection with sirens (no, the new speakers are not a paging or Musak system). Rules regarding play after a hearing siren will be posted
throughout the season.
